General Practice MDs Providing Manipulation and Acupuncture

In a UK study recently reported on Medscape, UK physicians in general practice were permitted to provide osteopathic manipulation and acupuncture to patients with common complaints. It should surprise no one that statistically significant improvements in pain, satisfaction, lowered medication usage, etc., were achieved.

What should surprise and alarm the chiropractic profession is that this study was even contemplated. Its effect is to contribute to every argument whose aim is to marginalize chiropractic and render it irrelevant.
